The parties have stipulated as to the following relevant facts: On July 1, 1975, Raymond Bourgoing, a paid, regular, uniformed member of the Plainville police department, suffered a heart seizure in a doctor's office in Plainville. He was taken by ambulance to New Britain General Hospital and was subsequently released. Bourgoing died on July 7, 1975, due to an acute miocardial infarction.
