Appellant was charged with the offenses of commission of a felony while armed with a deadly weapon, to-wit: robbery, in violation of Ind. Code § 35-12-1-1; and automobile banditry in violation of Ind. Code § 35-12-2-1. The jury returned verdicts of guilty on both charges and appellant was sentenced on the robbery while armed conviction to a term of imprisonment of twenty years.
