DELAHANTY, Justice.

A Penobscot County jury found the defendant guilty of the murders of his wife's mother and great-uncle. The Superior Court entered a judgment of conviction and sentenced the defendant to life imprisonment.

This appeal raises three issues for our consideration:

(1) Whether the defendant's incriminating statement was admitted into evidence in violation of Miranda v. Arizona,
