These appeals arise out of an action for damages for injuries to his right hand sustained by plaintiff John G. Romanik, age 13, while operating his father's Toro snowthrower. Following the trial court's approval of the jury's special verdict for plaintiff, defendant Toro Company (Toro) and defendant Gerald J.
