This is an unusual contested paternity suit. The petitioner is male.

The Legislature has only recently recognized the right of the male person to proclaim and prove his fatherhood of a child born out of wedlock. (Family Ct Act, § 522.) Many legal questions arising in this case have perhaps heretofore lay unresolved, providing merely exercises for classroom discussion.
