This is a habeas corpus case in which petitioner, James Robert Scott, Jr., contends that the trial court's refusal to allow him to defend pro se was error of constitutional magnitude. The case was referred to the Honorable Harvey E. Schlesinger, United States Magistrate, for findings of fact and conclusions of law. After an evidentiary hearing was held, the Magistrate issued his report on February 22, 1979...
