Gerald Francis Brennan seeks habeas corpus relief under 28 U.S.C. §§ 2241 and 2254. Petitioner was convicted of two counts of malicious wounding in the Circuit Court for the County of Montgomery. He was sentenced to two thirteen year terms of imprisonment, to run consecutively. He now contends that these convictions are constitutionally infirm because of ineffective assistance of counsel.
