This case results from a railroad crossing accident in Whelan Springs, Arkansas, wherein a Missouri Pacific train struck a 1978 Ford truck driven by Gordon Gene Merrill, who was fatally injured. Minnie Faye Merrill, appellee, brought suit against Missouri Pacific Railroad and two of its employees on behalf of herself, the estate, and heirs of the decedent. The case was submitted to the jury on interrogatories as follows:
