Defendants below appeal from a judgment rendered by the Circuit Court of Madison County which established in plaintiff's favor a materialman's lien on certain property owned by defendant church. Defendants contend on appeal that the action by plaintiff should have been barred by the doctrine of res judicata, and that the trial court's written judgment is void because it fails to strictly comply with Code of Alabama 1975, § 35-11-224.
