Defendant Arthur Stewart Cott was charged and convicted of violating section 725.10, The Code 1977, which prohibits lascivious acts with persons under sixteen years of age for the purpose of arousing or satisfying sexual desires. The evidence at trial showed that on November 28, 1977, a five-year-old girl accompanied her mother to the Target Store on Euclid Avenue in Des Moines.
