The defendant, Roy E. Barker, Jr., was convicted of the offense of the possession of more than 30 grams but less than 500 grams of cannabis (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1975, ch. 56 1/2, par. 704(d)). He was sentenced to 2 years probation and fined $500 plus costs. The defendant appeals from his conviction on the grounds that the trial court erred in denying his pretrial motion to suppress cannabis...
