Appellant John Skarica was convicted by a jury in the Court of Common Pleas of Mercer County of one count of bribery. Act of June 24, 1939, P.L. 872, § 667, 18 P.S. § 4667 (now covered by Crimes Code, 18 Pa.C.S.A. § 4108). Post trial motions were argued and denied and a sentence of six to twelve months imprisonment and a fine of $500.00 was imposed.
