A jury convicted Douglas Edward Anderson of kidnaping for ransom (Pen. Code, § 209) and first degree burglary (Pen. Code, § 459).1 He appeals from the judgment, questioning the sufficiency of the evidence, evidentiary rulings, competence of defense counsel, conduct of the prosecutor, and jury instructions.
