Defendant herein, the City of Ville Platte, has appealed from a trial court judgment in favor of plaintiffs: Roy J. LaFleur was awarded $5,000 for his wife's medical expenses and $1,312.50 for her loss of wages; Mary Lewis LaFleur was awarded $4,000 for her personal injuries.
