Calvin Watkins, appellant, was convicted in the Criminal Court of Baltimore City of possession of heroin in sufficient quantity to indicate an intention to distribute. Before the trial on the merits began, appellant filed a pre-trial motion to suppress and exclude evidence on the ground that the evidence was seized as a result of an illegal, warrantless arrest.
