On March 23, 1977, an undercover Phoenix city policeman purchased a dangerous drug, Phencyclidine, from appellant Louis Gene LeMatty at LeMatty's home in Laveen, Arizona. Based upon the information supplied to them by the undercover policeman, other officers attached to the Phoenix City Police Department obtained a search warrant from a magistrate the next day.
