Defendant, John P. Kimble, was charged by bill of information with two counts of cruelty to a juvenile, violations of R.S. 14:93 (1968). After a jury trial, verdicts of not guilty as to the first count and guilty as charged as to the second count were returned. Kimble was sentenced to serve two years at hard labor.
