Maryland's Unemployment Insurance Law, Maryland Code (1957, 1979 Repl. Vol.), Art. 95A, § 20 (g) (7) (iii) (C), effective 1 July 1971, established that as of 1 January 1972, nonprofit organizations (nonprofit employers) would be subject to its provisions.1 Article 95A, § 8 (d) (2) established that nonprofit employers could elect to pay contributions to the unemployment insurance...
