Defendant, Doil Taylor, was convicted, on his guilty plea in 71-A District Court for the County of Lapeer, of attempted possession of gambling policy slips. MCL 750.306; MSA 28.538; MCL 750.92; MSA 28.287. Defendant was sentenced to 180 days in the county jail (to be served on weekends) and was ordered to pay $500 in fines and costs.
