Defendant, Wilfredo De Jesus, was charged by information with aggravated battery and cruelty to children. The incidents allegedly occurred on December 2 and 3, 1976, and involved defendant's two-year-old daughter. Defendant was found guilty of both charges in a jury trial, and he was sentenced to one to eight years in the penitentiary. On appeal he contends he was denied a fair trial...
