The defendant, Pamela Ray, appeals from her conviction of murder before the circuit court of St. Clair County. The defendant was also convicted of cruelty to children in violation of section 53 of division I of the Criminal Code of 1874 (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 23, par. 2368). Defendant was sentenced to concurrent sentences of 20 years' imprisonment on the murder conviction...
