Defendant appeals from a judgment of the circuit court of Randolph County entered upon a jury verdict finding him guilty of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Defendant was confined to the Menard Correctional Center on January 13, 1978, when Nelson Biesner and another guard at that facility engaged in a "random shakedown" of the segregation gallery where defendant was staying...
