Upon an indictment for assault in the first degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree defendant was convicted, after jury trial, of the lesser included crime of assault in the second degree and also of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree. He was sentenced on the assault count to an indeterminate term of imprisonment with a maximum of seven years and to one year...
