1. The Code of Federal Regulations (Title 24, Chapter VIII, § 866.4 (1) (2) (i)) states that where a landlord which is a public housing agency desires to terminate a lease for failure to pay rent it shall give a 14-day notice to that effect. The effect of this regulation is to allow the tenant a 14-day period before the landlord may take any legal action in the matter based on termination.
