The deceptively narrow question before us today requires this Court to juggle the concepts of double jeopardy, conspiracy, and obscenity — each a nebulous circle in itself— while at the same time attempting to balance the government's interest in prosecuting alleged crimes against the constitutional rights of the defendants not "to be twice put in jeopardy."
