Defendants were jointly charged with the theft of a beef animal. They were tried and convicted by the circuit court sitting without a jury. On appeal, they argued that the court should have granted their motion for acquittal on two grounds: First, that the state's case rested only on the uncorroborated testimony of persons who were accomplices to the crime charged, and second, that the state failed to prove that the animal was the property of the person...
