On June 5, 1972, Jerome B. Katz, the appellant, and Eva Katz, the appellee, were awarded a divorce in the State of Virginia. The decree required the appellant to pay $275 every two weeks in support of the three minor children "until they are emancipated." At that time, the children were 14, 11, and 9 years of age.
