This is a workers' compensation proceeding. The worker is Samuel Brown (Brown). His employer, the Hope Service Station, Inc., is the nominal owner and operator of a gasoline service station situated in Scituate. Sometime in May 1973, Brown was busily engaged in renovating the exterior portion of the station's premises.
