GILLETTE, Judge.

Defendant appeals from a conviction of criminal activity in drugs, ORS 167.207. He assigns as error the trial court's denial of his motion to suppress evidence seized in a warrantless search of a residence. The central issue, as we view the case, is whether or not exigent circumstances existed that would allow the police to enter the house without first complying with constitutional knock and announce requirements. We hold they did not and reverse...
