SUGG, Justice, for the Court:

Defendant was indicted, tried and convicted in the Circuit Court of Newton County for the sale of more than one kilogram of marijuana. Defendant was indicted along with Keith Crenshaw and Kay Crawford but was tried separately.

Defendant's conviction was the result of undercover work by Bill Marshall, agent for the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics. While working undercover in Meridian, Marshall purchased approximately ten ounces...
