Dora Larkin COLEMAN and James Larkin v. Frank SPARKMAN et al. James LARKIN and Dora Larkin Coleman v. Frank SPARKMAN et al.

Supreme Court of Alabama.

May 11, 1979.

Attorney(s) appearing for the Case

Albert D. Lipscomb, of Lipscomb & Lipscomb, Bessemer, Ira D. Pruitt of Pruitt & Pruitt, Livingston, for appellants.

William C. Brewer, III and Marcus E. McConnell, Jr., Livingston, for appellees, Tri-County Land Co.

Robert P. Upchurch of Upchurch & Upchurch, Livingston, for appellees John Larkin Hardrick and Lenard H. Harrison and Evelyn G. Harrison.

BLOODWORTH, Justice.

These consolidated appeals are from judgments in actions seeking a sale for division of two tracts of land. In order to determine the ownership of the land, the trial court had to ascertain the true family relationship of the parties. Appellants appeal from judgments holding that they are not the natural descendants of Sumter Larkin, deceased, and that they have no title to the lands in question.
