Plaintiff Nerenhausen brought this action under the provisions of the Federal Employers Liability Act, 45 U.S.C. §§ 51-60, against defendant Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad Company [hereinafter the railroad] in April of 1976.
