This appeal presents the question whether a school board's policy that required a pregnant teacher to report her pregnancy to school officials immediately upon its discovery, and then used the disclosed pregnancy as the sole basis for declining to renew her contract for the succeeding school year violated § 703(a)(1) or (2) of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e-2(a)(1) and (2).
