Defendant (Appellant) was originally charged on March 3, 1971, with two counts of first degree murder, Ind. Code § 35-13-4-1 (Burns 1975), in the shooting deaths of two police officers. He entered a plea of guilty to each count and was sentenced to two (2) terms of life imprisonment.
