Plaintiff husband commenced an action on November 25, 1975 for a divorce on the grounds of cruel and inhuman treatment. Defendant wife counterclaimed for a legal separation based on alleged adulteries committed by her husband "between August 25, 1975 and the time of the commencement of the action".
