The plaintiff fell and was injured in a landing off a common hallway located in a commercial building in Pittsfield leased by two stores, City Used Furniture and Eva's Corsetorium. She brought actions in negligence3 against City's sole proprietor, Roland J. Gaudette, Eva Goodman, and the building's owner, Elsie Huston.
