Plaintiff, George Amick, filed a complaint on April 4, 1974 claiming damages for an injury which occurred on April 30, 1973. On May 13, 1974, the workmen's compensation insurer of Amick's employer intervened to recover amounts it had paid in weekly benefits and medical expenses.
