Louisiana Power & Light Co. (LP&L) brought this action against John W. Mecom for sums due it under a contract to supply electric power to defendant's sulphur plant. LP&L also sued for minimum payments for the remainder of the contractual term under an acceleration clause. The trial judge awarded plaintiff $45,362.00 for past due payments with legal interest from judicial demand and minimum payments of $1850.00 per month which became due...
