The indictment in this case reads as follows:

The Grand Jury charges that: Between, on or about September 1, 1976, and December 5, 1977, in the State and District of Colorado, Ernest Price did knowingly embezzle and convert to his own use money and property of the Bureau of Indian Affairs...
