Two defendants, Feodies Shipp, Jr., and John Yopp, were convicted for making false statements in real estate documents submitted to the Department of Housing and Urban Development, in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 1010 and 2(b) (1976).1 Shipp was indicted on all 16 counts of the indictment and the jury found him guilty on six counts. Yopp was indicted on five of the 16 counts and the jury found him guilty...
