After being charged with retail theft over $150 in violation of section 16A-3 of the Criminal Code of 1961 (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1975, ch. 38, par. 16A-3), the defendant, Roger Fox, filed a motion to suppress evidence discovered during a State police inventory of his car.
