Defendant was found guilty by a district court jury of two charges of theft of property valued in excess of $2,500, Minn.St. 609.52, subd. 2(1) and 2(3), and was sentenced by the trial court to a single maximum term of 10 years in prison, § 609.52, subd. 3(1).
