This is a trademark infringement case. The issue is whether the plaintiff or its predecessor abandoned the "Holsum" trademark it used for selling bread in the Lansing area.

The Roskam Baking Company began to use the trademark Holsum in the Grand Rapids area in 1945 and entered the Lansing market area in 1960, selling baked goods under several names, including Holsum. Plaintiff Interstate Brands Corporation purchased the Roskam's assets in September...
