This seemingly ancient litigation involves the discharge of appellee Cruz Soto Segarra by his employer, appellant Sea-Land Service, Inc. on December 12, 1968 and the subsequent failure by appellant Local 1575 of the International Longshoremen's Association to process appellee's grievance. The suit for damages initiated by the discharged employee in a Commonwealth of Puerto Rico court was removed to federal district court with jurisdiction...
