Defendant appellant's first question on appeal pertains to the trial court's admission of certain testimony by plaintiffs' witness Graham Sowers, a Building Inspector for Davidson County. It is contended that it was error for the witness to be qualified as an expert and for his testimony concerning the North Carolina Building Code to be admitted since the Code was not enforced in Davidson County at the time the chimney in question was constructed.<...
