To qualify for disability insurance benefits under the Social Security Act, a claimant must satisfy the Act's coverage requirement, which he may do by demonstrating he had earnings upon which social security taxes were payable for at least twenty calendar quarters during the forty-quarter period that ends with the quarter in which his disability began.
