Defendant, John Lee Tiller, appeals from a judgment of the Circuit Court of St. Clair County entered upon a jury verdict finding him guilty of the offenses of murder and attempt murder. The charges arose out of a shooting incident occurring in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 25, 1975, in East St. Louis, Illinois, during which a police officer was fatally wounded...
