Respondent's intestate was killed while working on a building on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, when the building collapsed after a load of plywood to form the roof was lowered on some of the rafters for storage. This action to recover for the intestate's wrongful death was subsequently brought against the owners, several contractors involved in the construction of the building...
