Defendant was convicted of violating section 401(b) of the Illinois Controlled Substances Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1975, ch. 56 1/2, par. 1401(b)) by selling 0.88 gram of heroin to a police undercover agent; and was sentenced to a term of 2-6 years imprisonment.
