Rene Chapotel purchased a 1972 Lincoln Continental automobile with an indicated mileage on the odometer of approximately 33,000 miles from Bailey Lincoln-Mercury, Inc., who had, in turn, acquired the automobile from Dixieland Auto Sales, Inc., with a similar odometer reading.
